Exist, a software engineering services firm that develops, designs and delivers enterprise-class products and cutting-edge web applications, is one of the leading open source advocates in the country. Since its founding in 2001, Exist has helped enterprises and ISVs complete software development projects quickly and cost-effectively by leveraging on open source projects. In addition, Exist is an active contributor in the Apache Software Foundation and Eclipse Foundation – two of the most prominent open source organizations in the global arena. In fact, several Exist software engineers and architects are also committers in various open source projects.

On October 28, Exist will run a training about automating the build process of software projects. The training entitled “Apache Maven, end-to-end” will be conducted by Brett Porter of the Apache Software Foundation. Brett (a speaker in the upcoming ApacheCon 2008 in New Orleans this November) will talk about the life cycle of a typical Java application development and show how to use open source tools to effectively manage the build and development process. The event will be held at the TechBar inside the Exist headquarter in Ortigas (G2VC Innovation Center, 5th Floor Orient Square Bldg, F. Ortigas Jr. Road, Ortigas Center, Pasig City). This training will be a whole-day affair and registration will start at 8:30am

To reserve a seat, please give us a call at 6874091. Look for Minnie Sedigo . The training is absolutely FREE for 1 representative from your organization. However, there will be a registration fee of Php2,000/participant should you wish to send more representatives. We have limited slots for this session, thus, it is highly recommended that you confirm your participation as early as possible.
